In the Bible, there’s a clear and consistent party theology. In a famous trilogy of stories, Jesus compared God’s Kingdom to a party and taught that when someone turns to God, a party breaks out in Heaven (Luke 15). Jesus came to change the world, but his time on earth was relatively short. His ministry lasted a little more than a few years, yet he accepted an invitation to a week-long party. He made time to have fun with other people. Throwing a party might be one of the most natural things a Christ-follower can do. It might be one of the most spiritual things a Christ-follower can do. So, what if you threw a party? What kind of party? A party with a purpose. A party that points people to Jesus. A party that brings joy to people one at a time.
