New Life Church | Daily Devo - Tanner Bezet
Today Pastor Tanner Bezet continues our topic this week of living out our purpose as a Christ-follower. The moment we become a Christian, our next question is usually, "Great, God! I'm so glad I'm a Christian! Now what are You calling me to do?" It's true that we're all called to glorify God and to get more people to know Him, as well. God certainly has a purpose and a timing. We can't speed up that timing, but we can certainly slow it down through bad choices. The only person getting in the way of your purpose is you! But when we draw near to the Father and grow in our relatoinship with Him through prayer, worship, and the Word, He places His desires in our hearts that then form into jobs, callings, and careers that change the world around us. Pray: God, I pray that my desires would be Your desires, and that my words would be Your words! Some ideas seem fun and exciting, but God's peace may not be in it. When you're faced with a big decision, pray through Romans 12:2! Ask the Lord to renew your mind. God has a will for our lives that is good, pleasing, and perfect. So, pray that God's will would be good, pleasing, AND perfect! Pray, "God, what's Your perfect will for me?"
Psalm 37:4-5; Romans 12:2
Are you facing a decision around the idea of God's plan for you—whether it's a small step or a big step?
If that's you, meditate on today's two Scriptures and invite God to show you what His good, pleasing, and perfect will is in your situation!
