And when Jesus heard it, he said to [the scribes of the Pharisees], “Those who are well have no
need of a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Jesus Himself proclaimed in Mark’s Gospel that it wasn’t the healthy who needed a physician,
but those who are sick. Knowing who Jesus came for, what does that mean for our mission as
Christ-followers who’ve been freed from condemnation? Who is our freedom for – and how do
we live this missional freedom out in an intentional way? This week will challenge us to look at
the reality of how we’re living our lives and who it’s for – and will direct us to make changes
that more reflect those for whom Jesus came, as well. Pastor Matt Wright teaches.
