Reference Text: Matthew 20 verses 32-34 (ESV)

And stopping, Jesus called them and said, “What do you want me to do for you?” They said to him, “Lord, let our eyes be opened.” And

Jesus in pity touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight and followed him.

Jesus performed many miracles and healings throughout His ministry here on earth. In this passage, we see that before He healed, He was moved in pity.

What does this short yet significant passage tell us about the heart of Christ? What does this passage tell us about the

condition of our own hearts – and what they should look like – in regards to acts of compassion and service in our lives?
