On August 26, 2013 at Convocation, North America's largest weekly gathering of Christian students, the Center for Global Engagement highlighted missions opportunities and alumni from around the world. Alumni and World Help founder Vernon Brewer spoke to students about God's plan for their lives in the mission field, and alumni Albert Mavunga spoke about how his time at Liberty prepared him to minister in his native Zimbabwe. World- famous musician Benny Prasad performed and shared his testimony.

Vernon Brewer is Liberty University's first graduate as well as the founder of World Help. World Help is a faith-based humanitarian organization that has been serving the spiritual and physical needs of the impoverished around the world for more than 20 years.
