“This is the Name” was written when Willow Worship was arranging “The Jesus Medley.” With the task of gathering songs from all different spiritual, generational and ethnic streams to put together in one musical movement, Willow Worship was inspired to add to the collection. As words were being written and sung, lyrics from the hymn “Tis So Sweet to Trust in Jesus” came to mind and then formed the song as it is today. Our hope is that as people sing these lyrics, they would be reminded of the saving power and incredible beauty of Jesus’ name.
