Everybody wants to know how to be successful, but we have to start with the definition of the word. Success is fulfilling your divine design. You are a masterpiece and only you can fulfill the success God has for you.

You don’t need to define your success by what you see in front of you. Understanding your uniqueness is the first step and only you can cultivate the garden God has given you.

Some people don’t take the time to figure out what God has given them because they are too busy comparing themselves to what other people are doing. They are looking to other people to determine what they need to do to be successful, when that success must come from that unique gift God has given them. Some people have figured out what they’ve been given, but they are too lazy to cultivate it.

Having a gift doesn’t mean that your road to success will be easy. I figured out that I needed to use my gifts to teach people about God, but I struggled in school. I was not a formal learner, and it was hard for me, but I had the ability to use words to get people to understand. I had to figure out ways to do what I needed to do to fulfill my divine destiny.

God has given you a gift, but your uniqueness means that can’t follow the path of people that came before you. You are too unique to operate that way. There are things you can find to help guide your way. There are blueprints of what other people did that worked for them. You are too unique for that. No one can show you how to cultivate your gift except for God.

If you’re not sure what your gift is, think about what people have told you during your life. Did they compliment your ability to speak and really get people to listen? Did they compliment your ability to write powerful words? You may have ignored it in the past, but that may be the gift God has been trying to show you all this time.

Be steadfast, unmovable, always abound in the work of the Lord and know that it will not go in vain!
