Helping Children Handle COVID-19 Related Loss and Disappointment
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, many school kids will not be able to go through graduation ceremonies at school, or finish competitive sports. The loss and disappointment can weigh heavily on young people who already miss seeing their friends and who may be having a tough time adjusting to staying home. Danielle Pitzer, Program Manager for Focus on the Family's Parenting and Youth Department talks with Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Jenny Coffey about the effects of disappointment and loss during this global health crisis on kids, and ways to help them cope.
If you or your kids are having difficulty dealing with disappointment and loss in this season call our Counseling Dept. at 1-855-771-4357.
