What are you prioritizing? #Shorts

Exodus 20 presents God’s commandments to His people—best known as the Ten Commandments. The second of these directives is, "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or in the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God." In the plainest of language, no idols. But don't think of idols as simply something made out of wood, stone, or molten metal. An idol is anything you prioritize above God. You can make an idol out of your children, out of your pleasure time, out of resources. An idol is anything you value more than honoring the Lord, and God said that He will not tolerate idolatry.

So, I want to ask you a couple of questions. Is it possible we've elevated government to an unhealthy place? Who is it exactly do we imagine secures our future? I would submit to you that the fundamental issue is not about a political party or politicians. The fundamental issue is the heart of God's people. We need to humble ourselves and acknowledge our need to repent. If our hearts get into the right place, God will move Heaven and Earth to help His people.

God's moving in the Earth, folks. He's purifying a Church. We have a freedom and liberty to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in the whole world, with greater resources than we've ever had in the history of the Church of Jesus Christ. I don't know how long we'll have those freedoms, but I intend to push everything through that window as long as we have it. This is not a time for despair. God is moving, and He is looking for people who are fully devoted to Him.
