We need to repent #Shorts
I would encourage you not to practice a presumptuous faith. Now, I’m a part of that, so I’m not throwing stones. It’s something for which, I assure you, I have spent time repenting. But we’ve had kind of a presumptive attitude towards the Lord. We’ve made repentance casual, cheap, and easy: "I can make immoral choices, and then when I’m ready to be moral again, I’ll say, 'Oh, God, I’m so sorry.'” There is a casualness in that that makes me very uncomfortable today. I’m telling you, we’re in a new season, and it’s time for some new attitudes. I believe we’ve got to begin to talk to the Lord with a bit more integrity: “God, am I walking uprightly before You? Is there anything in my life that would cause You to not give permission for me to grow up in you? In there any place I’m throwing a childish fit and standing outside of Your permission to become all You created me for? I want to honor You with my life.”
