Jesus warns us that, at the end of the age, there will be a deterioration of human character. There will be more voices with greater credibility and sophistication, making their appeals from very appealing places, inviting you to less and less godly behavior. Then, the deterioration of human character is going to increase even more. Now, we shouldn't be shocked at this, but we do need to have a plan for withstanding the onslaught, or we will be swept away in that stream. It's why Jesus warned us against deception more than any other thing because it happens incrementally, bit by bit, drip by drip, one bad decision after another. Church, we're going to have to wake up and gain the strength to withstand.
