Waiting on the Lord | Pastor Mac Hammond | LWCC
The Way of Escape 2
If you let patience have her perfect work and endure the adversity when it comes in faith, you will come out on the other side, perfect and entire wanting nothing. Our experience of our inheritance in this land and life depends on waiting on the Lord. Wait means to quietly rest, focusing on Him and His promises with patient expectation. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and mount up with wings as eagles, run and not be weary and walk and not be faint. Disappointment is a force used by the enemy to work against expectation in the Lord. Put it out of your mind and get over the past disappointments and don’t let them undermine your confident expectation of the future. Fear is the second force the enemy uses. Since fear is rooted in self-concern, we need to unconditionally be mindful of the three-fold cord of power, love, and a sound mind that God has given us. Forget the past and take no thought of tomorrow. Live in today with the Holy Spirit's help.
