Extra Supplies Needed:
Decorating Tools:
Bakers Twine (or string)
Flowers
Gold Dust + Vodka (for gold paint) (optional)
Spatula (preferably off-set)
Cake Scraper (optional)
Frosting Ingredients:
1 1/2 Cups of Butter (unsalted)
7 Cups Powdered Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 tbsp Milk (don't have to use it all)
Pinch of salt (1/8 tsp)
Food Coloring (of choice)
Frosting Instructions:
1. Beat room temperature butter for 4-5 min on high until light and slightly smooth (you'll notice it change to a lighter color).
2. Add 1/3 of the sugar and beat slowly until incorporated, then beat on high for 3-4 min. Repeat with another 1/3 of the sugar.
3. Add 3 tbsp of milk and the rest of the sugar slowly to incorporate, then beat for 3-4 min. Check consistency of frosting and if it needs to be smoother add last bit of milk, if it needs to be thicker add more sugar. Adjust until you get the desired consistency.
