For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
John 3:16 has been called everybody’s verse, and the reason I guess is because the verse actually does apply to every person in the whole world.
When you look at this verse you discover several truths about God’s Love.
1 God’s love is global.
“For God so loved the world”
2 God's love is sacrificial.
God loved the world so very much that He gave His only begotten son.
3 God’s love is individual.
Whoever believes in Him - that means me, that means you, that means everyone in the whole world.
4 God’s love is eternal.
Should not perish but should everlasting, eternal life. And that means that we can go to Heaven and be with the Lord forever, and forever and forever.
