Alistair Begg explains the relentless nature of temptation by describing the devil’s next approach: trying to make Jesus question the Father’s faithfulness. Satan reasoned that God would not let something bad happen to His Son; however, he did not understand that God sometimes rescues through suffering. Christ’s victory over this temptation, and His willingness to suffer, became our ultimate victory over sin.
