The Arctic Hope Project
Steve was born and raised in a Christian home. He grew up being ashamed of his Inuit background, and was radically changed by an encounter with God at age 14. Years later, and after much healing and restoration, he has embraced his identity as an Inuit and a child of the Living God. Steve is now the Director of the Arctic Hope Project, which is a cooperative project with the goals of strengthening the viability, resiliency and sustainability of the Arctic Region through mutual education and collaboration with indigenous communities.
