So Boaz Took Ruth
https://www.truthforlife.org || By: Alistair Begg — (Ruth 4:1-13) Before Boaz could take Ruth to be his bride, certain requirements had to be met within the Levirate Law. As a man of God, Boaz was determined to act in accordance with this law of redemption – even though it meant waiting and risking the loss of Ruth to a closer kinsman-redeemer. When Boaz became Ruth’s husband, he assumed both the privilege of buying the family land and the duty of ensuring the family line of Ruth’s first husband would continue. Boaz shows us how our Kinsman-Redeemer, Jesus Christ, takes us as penniless aliens and provides us with security, a future and a hope.
