Science, Morality, and God – Romans 7:22-25
In all of humanity’s technological achievement in the past century, why is it still dealing with the same problems that have been throughout history? Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones explains that fraud, theft, murder, and infidelity all have wreaked havoc within every family, regardless of their technological or financial ability. In this sermon on Romans 7:22–25 titled “Science, Morality, and God,” he explains why people can conquer the pull of gravity and venture into space, yet are unable to free themselves from the clutches of their own fallen morality. Dr. Lloyd-Jones points to the true problem, which is more powerful than any force of nature: sin. Sin affects every faculty of one’s being, separating them from God and leaving them living eternally pointless lives. Humankind is indeed a slave to sin regardless of scientific discovery, but in this sermon, Dr. Lloyd-Jones will point to the only One who is more powerful than sin.
