REACH OUT & TOUCH/ IT'S A SMALL WORLD/ HE'S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD - Roger Williams
Roger Williams’ brilliant medley of 3 songs that share the unifying theme of embracing love and understanding for all people in the world: "Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)," "It's A Small World (After All)," "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands."
"Reach Out and Touch (Somebody's Hand)," a 1970 hit for singer Diana Ross, is one of her most popular songs. During Opening Ceremonies at the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, it was sung by Vicki McClure (classmate of Roger Williams’ daughters).
"It's A Small World" is reportedly the most publicly performed song of all time. The ride, designed by Walt Disney, features animated children from around the world singing, "It's a Small World (After All)," in their native languages. It premiered at the 1964 New York World's Fair before permanently moving in 1966 to Disney Parks worldwide.
"He's Got the Whole World in His Hands" is a traditional African American spiritual, first published in 1927. It became an international pop hit in 1957–58 in a recording by English singer, Laurie London.
