The people of God were waiting to hear from Him because He had been silent for 400 years. Despite this silence, God keeps His promises even when it looks like there may be changes in His plans. His people were looking for the prophecy to be fulfilled through the birth of Jesus Christ. He will always fulfill His word and His promises to us in His divine perfection. We can count on Him to come through in every situation.
