Ngoga - Order My Steps (Slippin')

"Order My Steps truly is the turning point of the project and for good reason. As things start to spiral out of my control - I'm recalling the Psalm 119:133 and really asking Jesus to order my steps. Like, Lord, I've got so much ambition yet so many things pulling me away from you, can YOU just order my steps. The song really captures me in a vulnerable and honest moment with myself - I feel like I'm slipping away to the tune social media sings and falling into comparisons and feeling unusual about it all. I'm displaying transparency in hopes that the listener would be edified by these statements. I really took the Psalms of David on this project as we find him in a whirlwind of emotions but in the end, despite the hardships or sufferings, he finds a way back to that heart posture of wanting nothing more than to glorify God - as in the closing lines of Slipping "I just want the God in me to shine". - Frank
