New Life Church | Daily Devo - Mark Pagley
Many Bible versions use "meekness" for the word "gentleness;" many translate meekness as weakness, especially the brothers! But meekness is bearing the fruit of gentleness, a fruit we need to walk in, a value we need to be reminded of! Gentleness means having great power but choosing to yield it and use it in a compassionate way for others' benefit. It's only in the presence of the strong that gentleness becomes necessary. Jesus was gentle, though He was anything but weak! Gentleness is an expression of God's grace! Choosing to use our power in Christ with gentleness and compassionate for the benefit of another can change their life forever!
Matthew 11:29; 2 Cor. 10:1
