New Life Church | Daily Devo - Aaron Kruse
Today, Pastor Aaron Kruse launches a series we will be covering over the next few weeks regarding Biblical values, habits that Jesus develops and refines over time. The Word of God is our basis for who we arre transformed to become in Christ. The value we cover today is the fuel for the rest of the values, which is HOPE. Without hope it is impossible to work with courage, and patience is unbearable. We have two layers of hope: hope for eternity with God, and hope for today. Even through struggles and challenges, King David remained hopeful for eternity and his day-to-day. Hope isn't circumstantial feelings or security in physical provision. Hope is "to expect with confidence." It is a deeply held conviction that God in our lives can make a difference in heaven and hell and eternity. Heb. 11:1. Faith is an activation of the hope that Jesus breathes into our hearts. Paul in prison had hope, choosing to write letters of encouragement to the churches: "Rejoice in the Lord always...". His eyes were beyond his circumstances
Psalm 27:13
What are you putting your hope in? Have you lost your hope, or is it still burning hot in your spirit for what God is calling you to do?
Pray and ask Jesus to activate or renew His hope in you to fuel what He has called you to.
