'My need for control hurt my family," explains Dr. Ron Welch. He and his wife Jan discuss how early on in their marriage he was dominant and manipulative and the impact that had on her.

Ron shares how his behavior hurt his whole family because his children could see how he would try to control Jan and then they'd treat her badly too.

The couple met and 4 days later, they were engaged. 4 months after that, they were married. At this point, they are celebrating 35 years of marriage. Jan says the journey has been challenging at times, but that there is hope for families where one spouse has a need for control.
