Dorothy Burton has a wealth of experience from a successful career in local politics. She has served as city council member, mayor pro tem, and chairman of the Dallas County Commissioners. Her ministry, Christians in Public Service, was developed to encourage and better equip Christian public servants to serve and lead from a biblical worldview. Her aim is to transcend politics and build relationships for Christ.
