Maralee Gutierrez didn't ever want to be a missionary. And she certainly never wanted to be a missionary to Africa. Content to pray for and financially support missionaries, Maralee never expected to be called into the field herself. Working alongside expat and national colleagues, Maralee is a part of a public relations team in which one of her primary focuses is multilingual education. More than just education, however, Maralee had the chance to hear stories of people whose lives had been changed by hearing or reading God’s Word in the language that speaks to their hearts. Wycliffe’s mission is to see a Bible translation program in progress in every language still needing one by 2025.
