As Christians, we sometimes boast about being saved. However, being saved is not the be all end all, but simply the beginning of your walk with Christ. This is my second project since beginning my musical journey at the end of 2018. I’ve grown as an artist and as a believer and in this project I wanted to focus on God's ability to remove the passions of the flesh and mold you into the likeness of his son.

This project commemorates my realization of HIS Power over our sins. I used to indulge in drugs and lustful passions for a good portion of my life. It had become my normal and definitely an idol in my day to day. However, even though it is not easy, I no longer desire to fall deeper into those habits but instead, I walk with God in an attempt to be the person he’s called me to be.

The title of the EP “Seven Ways” is directly from Deuteronomy 28:7 which reads “The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

I am witnessing my enemies, my addictions, my sinful desires and all that wasn’t of God which resided in me be defeated and they are now fleeing from me in “Seven Ways”. I am no longer just trying to play it safe by “being saved”. But instead, go a step further and walk in purpose for the one who’s called me.

This project begins with an interlude called “Seven Ways” which introduces the thesis of the entire project and then takes off really quickly with new sounds that will not only be melodically pleasing but edifying as well. Any listers who have been on this journey with Kojo from the start will recognize growth and confidence in his eclectic sound & diverse features.
