"Before Resurrection Sunday, there was Good Friday. And Friday was good because Jesus’ decision to endure the cross was made because of His love for us. Willow Worship wanted to write a song that focused on the goodness of the passion of the Christ. “It Hurt You” is an effort to help listeners remain in remembrance of the agony of the cross, understanding that the pain Jesus went through would only be outdone by not having a chance to be in relationship with us.“ - James Paek
