Invisible and Unappreciated | Pastor Jim Hammond | LWCC
Our Father sees us in secret and will reward us for our good deeds openly. We don't do good deeds for the Kingdom to be seen. The world rewards what is seen, but God celebrates what is not seen. Don’t do things to be seen. There is no worse feeling than been unseen and invisibility. When we are doing our very best and it is getting unrecognized, it is hard to keep doing it. However, we are not citizens of this earthly realm but of the Kingdom of God Who rewards us for what we do that is unseen. People will always reward a gifting rather than a persons character. Our reward is from the Lord and He doesn't see our failures but instead He sees our potential. The enemy can do only 2 things to us: distract and/or discourage us. If we don't quit, the enemy cannot defeat us. The prodigal son is feeling what the worlds feed off of: scrolling, clicking, liking, deleting, filtering, swiping subscribing, unsubscribing and everything that is in his feed is making him more hungry. If we are chasing what the world is chasing we can never fully celebrate the fullness of what we have been given. He will never leave or forsake us.
