Introducing the Post-Christianity? Podcast
The West is increasingly described as “post-Christian.” But is that label accurate? Are contemporary people really leaving Christianity behind, or are they assuming lots of it while rejecting other bits? Why?
Where does the “post-Christianity” of the twenty-first-century West actually come from? How does this story help us understand the rapid cultural developments we have seen in recent years? And what might evangelism, mission, and discipleship look like in light of it?
Glen Scrivener and Andrew Wilson have both written books about this recently ('The Air We Breathe' and 'Remaking the World'), and they both serve churches in southern England. In this eight-episode podcast, they consider how we got here, what it means, and how to respond through discussions ranging from sexuality, psychology, and economics to identity, theology, hospitality, and art. Also featuring special guests Kyle Harper, Carl Trueman, and Rebecca McLaughlin, Post-Christianity? is a thought-provoking and hopeful take on contemporary culture.
