Intelligent Design vs the ID Movement
What is the difference between intelligent design arguments and the “Intelligent Design Movement”? Is it biblical to use intelligent design arguments to persuade unbelievers about the existence of God? What about the Intelligent Design Movement (IDM)? Is it something that Bible-believing Christians should embrace? In the first half of the lecture Dr. Mortenson illustrates the amazing design in nature and how secular scientists foolishly attribute it to blind evolution rather than to the brilliance of our Creator. In the second half he identifies some of the IDM’s leading scholars and assesses four strengths and four serious weaknesses of this religiously eclectic movement. He urges Christians not to follow the IDM’s strategy for combating the theory of evolution.
