Any one of these voices is difficult to follow; the combined horde of them simply leaves us overwhelmed and worn out, feeling like we’ve failed, fallen behind, and are hopelessly lost.

Yet into the midst of this confusing mess steps Jesus, offering not a path but a person; not rules but a relationship.
