Pastor Bobby continues the message series based on the Mind of Christ with today’s message: “From Despair to Hope.”
Skip Garmo is president of Mission to Children, an organization that provides food, shelter, training and life-changing Bible teaching to at-risk children. This Christian charity is committed to caring for and cultivating Christ-like character in children. Skip is also the executive editor of the “Cultivating Character” training series for educators and parents, having been translated into 20 languages and presented in 17 countries to more than a million people. His book, “The Leader’s SEEcret: Asking the Right Questions and Embracing God’s Answers” is available wherever books are sold.
Directed by Carol Aspling, the Southern California Children’s Advanced Chorus is Orange County, California’s only chorus dedicated exclusively to meeting the educational and performance needs of children through music and singing. Students range in age from 5 to 21 years of age, and come from all over Southern California. Today, they perform, “Esurientes from Magnificat in G minor” (comp: Antonio Vivaldi) and “Gloria in Excelsis Deo” (comp: James McCray). The group is accompanied by Becky Grove on the piano.
Directed by Don Neuen, the Hour of Power Choir performs “O Lord, Our Lord” (comp: Van Denman Thompson; edited by Donald Neuen). The choir is accompanied by Zeljko Marasovich on the organ.
