One of the expressions of God’s sovereignty is that He chose our parents for us. There are no perfect parents, but when we honor them we honor Him. The relationship we have with our mothers is foundational to our spiritual well-being. It’s not about the quality of the parenting we received; it’s about inviting the Spirit of God into that relationship so that we will grow and be prepared for all that God has for us.
