Even God Rests - Hour of Power with Bobby Schuller
This week, Bobby Schuller begins a five week series on Sabbath that will lead up to Easter Sunday. Today's message is "Even God Rests." Our Hour of Power pastor is a graduate of Oral Roberts University, with a Master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary. Bobby and wife Hannah live with their children Haven and Cohen in Orange, CA.
Dorothy Breininger is the owner and executive director of the "Center for Organization and Goal Planning." She works with homemakers, CEO's and high profile celebrities, coaching them on how to conquer procrastination while helping them to develop a fulfilling home and work life. Dorothy is also a frequent guest on the Emmy nominated television program, A&E's "Hoarders." She has been a featured guest on "The Today Show" and "Oprah," and has written articles for the Wall Street Journal and Forbes Magazine. Dorothy has a new book entitled "Stuff Your Face or Face Your Stuff," available wherever books are sold.
Cheryl Crandall is a soloist from Southern California. She is the recipient of The Frank Sinatra Pop Vocal Award and The Carol Burnett Musical Theater Award. Cheryl has performed on Broadway in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," played the role of Mary in The Glory of Easter, and has had the starring role in several Southern California theatrical productions. She also toured with Perry Como for five years, and has soloed for U.S. Presidents. Today, Cheryl sings "Ave Maria" (comp. J.S. Bach; C. Gounod). She is accompanied by the DaCapo Players and with Richard Rivale on the piano.
The DaCapo Players are a group of classical professional musicians located in Orange County, California. The group has a CD available entitled Breathe the Celtic Aire, available at dacapoplayers.com. Group members playing this morning are: Sara Andon, flute; Robin Cecil, violin; Victor de Almeida, violin; Steve Velez, cello. They perform "Celtic Medley" (Traditional; arr. S. Velez).
Directed by Don Neuen, the choir sings, "Father, We Adore Thee" (adapt. Jim Cymbala, Carol Cymbala; arr. Carol Cymbala). The choir is accompanied by guest organist Zelijko Marasovich.
