FAMILY ACTIVITY: Fly to Me

WHAT YOU NEED:

Masking tape

WHAT YOU DO:

Make a line with the tape throughout an open area in your home.

Have your child stand at one end of the line. Then, ask them to fly like an angel down the taped line to you. When your child reaches you, ask, “Why is Jesus special?” and say “Jesus is God’s Son” with the them. Repeat as long as interest holds.

(If you have a natural line in your flooring, you could point out that line and use it instead of tape.)

Say, “Fly like an angel down this line and come see me! Fly to me! Why is Jesus special? Jesus is God’s Son. One more time. Why is Jesus special? Jesus is God’s Son. Let’s do it again.

“That was so much fun! God sent an angel to Mary to tell her that she would have a baby and He would be Jesus! Jesus is God’s Son. Why is Jesus special? Jesus is God’s Son!”

FAMILY PRAYER TIME:

“Dear God, thank You for blessing me with (name each child). I love them so much. Thank You for Christmas and all we get to celebrate this time of year. Help us remember that we already received the best gift ever: Jesus. We love You, God. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
