1:00 Today we're going to continue the interview with Melissa Ohden, a woman who was aborted unsuccessfully 38 years ago. She miraculously survived.
3:40 Melissa reached out to her biological family who did not want to connect with her. Her Grandmother had forced her mother to have the abortion in the first place and now they were estranged. Melissa knows there are many women out there who have had or are going through just as or even more challenging situation. Many people want to sweep it under the carpet - but it festers, infiltrates families and hurts people. She wants families healed.
4:38 - A partial-birth abortion is where they allow the baby to be born and then they crush the skull. This is murder.
5:47 Melissa was given the privilege to tell her story in the hope of saving children's lives. She has spoken before Congress in the United States, the Australian Parliament and pregnancy centers around the country, Pro-Life work, wherever God calls her.
9:30 In 2013 Melissa connected with her birth mother who had thought that the abortion had been successful all those years ago.
11:00 Forgiveness in the most tragic situations defies all human logic, only with the spirit of God moving in someone's heart can we forgive the perpetrators. Melissa has forgiven her Grandmother who forced the abortion on her daughter and then refused to let her daughter know that Melissa had lived and was alive.
