Changing Church: Giving Life
As the coronavirus changes how all of us live and work, it’s also changing the way we live out the calling to be the Church. Nationwide, our hospitals are experiencing critical lows in available blood as organizations cancel thousands of blood drives due to fear over the coronavirus. When Willow’s Care Center closed to guests last week, the staff and volunteers of the Care Center’s Dental and Eye Clinic saw an opportunity to redirect their efforts toward hosting blood drives that could adhere to social distancing recommendations. Willow’s regionals have also hosted blood drives all across Chicagoland, resulting in more than 360 potential lives saved.
