In this week’s edition of Behind the Headlines, we will be discussing how the terrible war in the Ukraine is helping to fulfil biblical prophecy bring the tribulation period closer to our doorsteps.

In the Bible, Ezekiel 38 and 39 foretells of a future time when a Russian – Islamic confederation will invade the nation of Israel from the land of the north. The motivation for this war is to steal Israel’s wealth. In recent years the Jewish state has discovered rich deposits of natural gas, which Israel is supplying to Egypt, Jordan, Cyprus, and Greece.

Now with the war waging in the Ukraine and Europe’s urgency to wean itself off its dependency of Russian oil and gas. Israel could help solve Europe’s energy crisis by supplying natural gas to Europe. This could be the hook that drives the Russian forces to attack Israel.

The Russian invasion of Europe has unified Europe and will lead to greater calls for the creation of an EU to defend Europe from the extremital threat posed by Russia in fulfilment of biblical prophecy.

We also see an urgent need to help Jewish refugees from the Ukraine to making Aliyah to Israel that is fulfilling bible prophecy.
