Starting at age 14, Nick Stumbo experienced a 15-year binge/purge/confession cycle dealing with pornography and sexual fantasy. Nick had good intentions – he confessed regularly in church settings and to his wife, Michelle, and he pursued safeguards. However, tragically, Nick was not considering the compounded pain his behavior was having on Michelle, who seriously considered leaving their marriage. Together, Nick and Michelle submitted to a one-year counseling process, and their marriage was restored.
