"11 a.m. on a Sunday morning is the most segregated hour in American." As we commemorate Martin Luther King Jr.'s life this month, it is worth considering whether churches have done their part in ending segregation. Data suggests they have not. According to a 2013 study, only 15 percent of Catholic and five percent of Protestant churches were multiracial, meaning that 80 percent of the church comes from the same racial group.
