While hunting, Odong Richard stepped on a landmine that was left over from Uganda's conflict with the LRA. Odong lost his foot and the respect of men in his village, who now ridicule him for his disability. Feeling victimized, Odong believed that God must not exist. However recently, after receiving a crutch at a local distribution, Odong heard the Gospel and decided to follow Christ shortly thereafter.

The Cause 4 Life team discovered Odong would not let his disability keep him down, and he now helps run a thriving bakery. The team was able to celebrate Odong's recent salvation and encouraged him to become an advocate for others with disabilities in his community.
