Bells on Christmas Day" were originally written as poem, "Christmas Bells", about the American Civil War by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.It was first set to music by British organist John Baptiste Calkin, and lataer by American Johnny Marks. This hymn invites us to reflect on the blessings of the Christams season and to find peace not only on Christmas day but all year through.
